Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. After her parents divorced, she moved with her mom in Los Angeles. It was a struggle to survive at the time she landed her first acting role in Rachel's Room's lead character. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford, a role she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on an even more prominent role in movies, and had a role opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. In addition, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. Her role was reprised as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role as Shannon in two episodes of Lost including the series finale. In 2013, she was in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan, she is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first appearances were in films of her father in his adolescent years. With her brother, she was also in Donnie Darko (2000). She also was featured as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. The actress also starred in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, as well as Sherrybaby (a film) received her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. In 2006, she appeared in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However the role she played as Rachel Dawes that brought her greater attention for her performance in The Dark Knight (2008). The film was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009). In the following years, she appeared in comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). Apart from her character as a Secret Service agent, she was also seen on screen in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). Her latest roles included as the main character of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her career as screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021, when she wrote and directed the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film received the award for Best Screenplay in The Venice International Film Festival, and was later nominated by The Academy Award. Academy Award.
