Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. When she was a teenager she was involved in both the traditional and popular music. Her singing interests have broadened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela has described her voice as sweet and sharp, however she still having the grit of more mature singers. El Mal Querer, her follow-up album to Los Angeles in 2017, was both a critical and commercial success. It topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums Chart and received an Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Her third long-player Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with a variety of producers and artists such as Cory Henry and James Blake. The set came out in on March 20, 2022 following a Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the show. Rosala from Motomami who was awarded an award for the Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first female to win one.
