Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. Her family was moved to Oxfordshire as a child where she attended an academy called the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she made the decision to make it as an actress. The actress trained for several years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford in which she learned singing and acting. By the age of ten she had appeared and played as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. When 1999 began, casting was announced for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Agents for casting found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been selected for the roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first film role was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It was also the biggest and most profitable film in the year 2001. Its opening days and weekends of the sales were unbeatable. Critics have praised both the film and the performance of the three principal young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a popular British publication, gave Emma high marks for her exceptional performance. Emma took home the Young Artist Award as the Most Outstanding Young Actress in the Feature Film. The actress was awarded five times for her part in the film.
